Tropical Oatmeal Cookies Mix in a Jar recipe

Layer the following in a 1-quart jar:

1 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cups oatmeal
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Attach the following recipe on a gift tag:

Tropical Oatmeal Cookies

Mix contents of jar with 1/2 cup shortening, 1 egg and 1 cup crushed pineapple (drained); blend together well. Drop by teaspoonsful onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F for about 15 minutes.
