Red and Green Holiday Cookies Mix in a Jar recipe

1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
1 1/4 cups M&M's red and green holiday candies
2 cups flour mixed with 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    and 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Layer ingredients in order in a 1 quart Mason jar. Press each layer lightly in place before adding next ingredient to the jar.

Red and Green Holiday Cookies

Heat oven to 350 degrees F.

Empty Cookie mix into a large bowl and stir until blended. Add 1/2 cup softened butter and 1 egg. Mix until cookie dough forms. Roll dough into 1-inch balls, and place two inches apart on a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 12-14 minutes, or until edges begin to brown.

Makes 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
