Oreo Cookie Muffin Mix in a Jar recipe

Layer the following in a quart-size jar:

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup granulated sugar
20 Oreo chocolate sandwich cookies, coarsely chopped

Attach the following instructions on a gift tag:

Oreo Cookie Muffins

Empty contents of jar into a large mixing bowl and blend together.

In a small bowl, combine 3/4 cup milk, 1/3 cup sour cream and 1 egg. Dump milk mixture into dry ingredients. Add 1/4 cup melted butter or margarine and stir until just blended. Spoon batter into 12 greased 2 1/2-inch muffin pan cups. Bake at 400 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from pan; cool on wire rack. Serve warm or cold.

Makes 1 dozen muffins.
