#313 -- BANANA BREAD RECIPE
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3-4 ripe bananas, mashed
2 tbsp. milk
1/2 c. oil
1 c. sugar
1 egg
Grease loaf pan. Mix all together and bake
at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
#314 -- CHOCOLATE-CHIP BANANA BREAD RECIPE
3 mashed old bananas
1 1/8 c. sugar
1/2 c. orange juice
2 eggs
1/4 c. softened butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. sm. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped walnuts
Beat first 6 ingredients. Add dry, one at a
time. Pour into 2 greased loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-55
minutes.
#315 -- BANANA NUT BREAD RECIPE
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. walnuts
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3 soft bananas
Mix shortening, sugar, and egg well. Add
flour, soda and salt. Add mashed bananas and nuts. Pour into
greased loaf pan. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
#1933 -- JALAPENO CORN BREAD
5 c. cornmeal
6 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
8 tsp. baking powder
2 1/2 c. milk
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 1/2 c. cream-style corn
1/2 c. chopped white onion
1/2 c. sliced jalapenos
5 c. grated cheddar cheese
Mix well cornmeal, sugar, salt, baking powder,
milk, eggs, oil, corn, onion, jalapenos and cheese. Put mixture in
a well-oiled 13 x9 x 2 inch baking pan. Bake in a preheated 400
degree oven until done, about 1 hour and 5 minutes. The corn bread
batter can be stored overnight. Combine all ingredients except
baking powder. Do not mix. The next day, add the baking powder and
mix the
ingredients together. Makes 12 large pieces or 24 small pieces.
